"I need help finding a job! If I only had someone to help me construct a resume and proof read it I would be all set," said Jane. Jane is a graduate candidate at a local Univeristy who is in need of a quick resume. Secnario 2: "Man, I have to idea where I'm going in life! I like my major but I get bored with my classes. "My family's dream is for me to be a Docotor. I'm great at science and at memorizing volumes of informaiton but just the thought of being stuck in a Hospital all day, around sick people all day makes me depressed. Help, I don't know what to do!" Met Dan, a first year student who feels stuck, in a major and career path that he has little to no desire to do. WIll the money be good, maybe! Will the benefits be good, probably! Will has life have total satisfaction, daily rejuvination and zeal? Nope! Jane would do great obtaining the services of a career counselor on campus. Dan, he needs a coach in a bad way! Although many of my personal friends work in career services and are equipped to do coaching they just don't have enough time to meet with one client several sessions in a row. I speak from personal experience concerning this statement. A coach on the other hand has the ability to devote 100% of their resources to YOU! To help you develop success in all areas of life, not just writting the perfect resume or finding a higher paying job, of which both are important and coaches should be able to do both as well. A coach has the ability to move along side of you in your journey in life, locate where you are going and help you see clearly how to get there. Accompanying you the enitre journey if needed! That's a coach!
